LEANNE BUGAT

Hey all,

I am very sorry I have been a little slack with updating the website.  It has been a hectic couple of years.

I would love to say that I have been performing in many venues these last couple of years but no I have been flat out recording for my next CD.  At one stage I was behind the computer screen 8 hours a day and I burnt myself out.  I was learning a sequence program to record myself and it took up most of my time.  I have had a couple of gigs here and there but most of them have been private gigs and people have not been allowed to attend.

Within the next coupe of years I would like to concentrate on building up my repertoire and possibly search for some players in the mean time.  I miss working in a band and would love to get out there and do what I love and that is performing.

During past 6 months I have started a new career and I have had to take a break from the music.   I am teaching music which is what I wanted to do from a young age.  I am treating this period in my life as a stepping stone and another challenge.  It is great to experience new and exciting projects as it gives me inspiration to write new songs.

I have spent way too much time away from the music and I am pleased to let you all know that I will get back to work on the CD project.  It has been requested that I use the doggie song on my next CD so I have recorded it.  The inspiration for this song came from my old dog Jesse who I lay to rest last year.  Jesse's howl was fantastic but towards the end when I learnt how to record he became too old to howl.  My next CD will be dedicated to Jesse for being in my life for 15 years after I saved him from the lost dogs home.  Jesse has been by my side all that time and we have seen plenty of water pass under the bridge together.  I also created a relaxation track which I may include on the Album, titled "Find your wings in heaven".  The song is a musical piece that helped me through the grieving process.  Whilst creating  "Find your wings in heaven", I would visualise unleashing Jesse's chain for the last time to let him run to freedom.  Good bye Jesse you will always in my heart.

On the AcousticLee page I have placed a link to CD baby, if anyone would like to purchase any of my songs off the Album.  You can purchase the whole Album or single tracks through CD Baby.  CD Baby is linked to my paypal account so I do get paid.  It is a great system and a trusted site.  I hope you can all navigate easy through either of the links that I have placed on the contact page.

My music is doing very well being promoted through Pod shows and community radio stations throughout Australia.  I am sent an email when my songs are played on pod shows and I am getting around a bit.  I received word that I was played in Germany,  Finland, Brazil, England and many states and cities in the USA.  Two of my songs were played and featured on a pod cast in America called "Quiet time pod cast".  I appreciate the time that go's into these shows and the more people hear my songs the better.

I have not submitted any of my new songs to Song of the year as I  have run out of spare time.  I am pleased to note that three out of seven songs that I have submitted finished in the top four.  Energy placed as a runner up and three of the remaining songs were placed as honourable mentions.  I may not have got through to win the Song of the year however my songs were enjoyed by the judges and I placed very well in those months.

Katherine is going to do a new design for the website sometime soon and hopefully give it a new face lift.

Until there is more to share,  I hope you all stay safe and well and I will update you all soon.
