THINGS WILL BE BRIGHTER
I mixed with wrong people for too long.
And started to be a person that wasn’t me…
They wanted the love, and support, every day.
That’s something I gave so freely and yet,
where did they go when I needed a friend?
So, now I’ve had the last, laugh.
As I’ve cleared them right out of my life.
I’ve won the battle they’ve dropped their, weapons.
Now I’ve met someone special to, me.
The kind of person I never knew existed.
I thank God that I met a friend like you.
You have so much wisdom and intelligence.
Ah yes, someone with common sense…
I have also realised, things will be brighter,
as I know in my heart I deserve, better…
Let this be a lesson to you, all…
That we are all unique and, different.
With many talents that we can only, be…
So don’t just be a part of that, crowd, stand up,
have your say, and be proud of who you are.
I thank God that I met a friend like you.
