"I had the opportunity of visiting your
website (www.leannebugat.com and www.sonicbids.com/leannebugat) and
listened to your songs (Smile, Energy, Things Will Be Brighter & Feel My
Heart, along with I Wish You Happiness), all of which, I really
enjoyed! The vocals are wonderfully solid, the music and production
seem good, the lyrics are interesting. Love the harmony. I love your
energy, it has a raw feel to it and a sound that reminds us of a time
when songs were well written and performed. Overall, I think your
music
is quite strong and believe that you would do very well in foreign
markets. In short, I would have no hesitation whatsoever, to
represent
your music to our A&R associates worldwide."

"Hi Leanne.
Just received your new cd, thanks heaps. Now this is a Great Album, with
some Beautiful Tunes on it. Unfortunately I don't play Beautiful Music.
All tracks on the album are well written, beautifully sung, and you should be
very proud of it. I will pass it on to one of our presenters with a much
wider scope of music genre's than mine. I'm sure you understand what I'm on
about. Rock & Blues is a "Dirty Genre" of music (of which I love by the
way), so I'd hate to even try to put yours in my basket."
Bluest Regards.

Daughter
of Australia's answer to Roy Orbison, it's no surprise then that Leanne
Bugat's debut album is a country-flecked pop/rock masterpiece. In her
mid-30s now, Lee, as she is more commonly known, has been performing since
13. And it shows on an album which displays her sumptuous voice and
intricate strumming to excellent effect.
On ´Feel My Heart´ it's as if Bugat's thrust her chest into the studio
microphone, to the extent you can hear her cardiac organ pulsate. There's a
real craft to each track, aptitude recognised by the Song of The Year
songwriting competition whose judges represent some of the biggest names in
the music industry, including many Grammy Award winners. Her ´Smile´, which
makes me go weak at the knees just thinking about it, earned her a
third-place finish in September 2005 and ´Without Condition´ won the folk
category in November of the same year.
As a child growing up in Victoria's Yarra Valley, Lee didn't much like
school. Her teachers dismissed her as dim. It wasn't until her mid-20s that
she was recognised as visually dyslexic which impairs her reading and
comprehension. Dyslexic or not, Bugat's got a way with word play. She
reveals the name of every album she releases will end with Lee, including
her last one which will be called FinalLee. On hearing her first album,
you'll hope that her last one comes later rather than sooner.

I stumbled across a site a few years back and met a
wonderful network of fellow musicians who would exchange reviews. I
established some great friendships with many who live in many corners of the
globe. Here are some of the reviews I received from people on
Mixposure. The site is no longer operational however I stay in contact
with some from this site.

LOL, I was just talking yesterday to my cousin from New Mexico
who thought these trees only were in California where I live, and I
thought he was right. Yup, those trees do give the air a unique and
wonderful scent when the rains come and go. That concept really
worked well for me in this song, that cleansing new start kind of
freshness, a kind of hope and uplifting feeling. Great job here once
again, since and guitar picking top notch. Not too many can make a
song sound so complete with just those two instruments, but you do
it so well. Nice job! Peace, Arnie |

Your the best singer guitarist I've heard on the net.
Harmonizations, fingerpicking is stellar. So strong ! Main vocal is
killer stuff. Your simply great. You
DO deserve to make it big in the recording industry. Just on the
basis of your extreme talent. Incredible! songstress to say the
least.

Wow, what a voice - the contrast against the guitar and soft
strings is really stunning. Don't know how it took me so long to
find this. There is so much power in such a simply-produced song.
Great lyrics too, sort of pragmatic and touching view of the
inevitable end of something.
Wonderful song.
Thanks for putting it here.

This is a breathtaking song, fantastic heartfelt vocal
performance, haunting melody and superb harmonies and the overall
mix is very good too, it’s a great home recording. I would love to
hear recorded in a studio with a solo cello in place of the string
pads and also a mandolin in place of the high guitar licks…. it’s a
great song and I adore it |

Hi again Leane, Once again you've got me stuck for words, sorry
for not getting back to you earlier but we've been really busy of
late.
You've done it again....produced a very beautiful and thought
provoking song.......and a real gem!! got me thinking about how both
parties in a relationship only tend to see their own point of view
during turbulent times, when both are normally at fault.
Musically you've written a lovely melody here...sung from the heart
with your usual first class vocal delivery. after reading all the
reviews from everyone I can safely say that we all agree on one
thing....your extraordinary talent!! you write with an insight into
everyday life that most of us don't pick up on.....like reading
between the lines.....seeing the story behind the story, and that in
my humble opinion makes you a modern day prophet.
It makes us sad to think that you live 12000 miles away on the other
side of the world from us, but maybe some day if you're ever in the
uk (or we're ever in Aus) we can meet up for a chat. we'd really
like to shake your hand. Well done leanne X4 all the way
Much love from Billy Matt and pete/Cousti |

It shows thier own inadaquacies...Love the way you`re putting
this over...You`ve a fabulous voice that`s a real pleasure to listen
to...I just love these lyrics...
How about supportive words. Instead of your critical remarks. No
person is perfect, or can live up to your expectations. So neat,
without fault. With you there can be no other way.
So lets just call it a day….
Kudos....

This is a beautiful song. Reminds me of Joan Baez but with more
modern sounds. Well, it uses voice and guitar, which is better to
say it just uses immortal sounds. Very talented as songwriter, very
warm and expressive voice, this song surely deserves 4 thumbs up for
both the evident talent as songwriter and the lyrics, a real poetry.
My very compliments! :-) |

I had to hear the 2 version s and i must tell you that this one
is outstanding in the delivering of the lyrics which are taking a
greater importance than in the "orchestral " version.. I have hard
to express myself in English but understand well that this acoustic
version is more poignant and moving indeed that the version with
orchestration.
The message is stronger here self if your voice is crystal clear in
this version and in the other version .
Fine guitar work in this one !
So, i love both versions but i still believe that the orchestral
version with Pascal is more commercial and could please to a larger
public .
Thanks for your great music and marvellous songs.
Best,
Alexis;) |

Oh, I'm in love with this... a beautiful catchy song of soulful
expression and own soul, an impressive example that you don't need a
whole band...
Best production - guess, this is from an album which is "ready
to go":)
Leanne, your vocals are enchanting... new to me. This is indeed
flowing, the song "grooves" without percussion. A
masterpiece by a blessed singer.
Best of Luck!

as usual.
Badmouth has it right, its a ripper of a song.
and I can hear your heart here singing its truth through a lot of
experience.
If anyone can't hear the emotion in this they are better off on a
graphics site.
For the record, I think we're all right...in part, about everything.
I haven't held an opinion yet that I couldn't find another one for
tomorrow. Truth? reveals itself in layers, at least for me.
You had me thinking and feeling, and I have to say, reaching for the
tissues again.
